Brer Rabbit used the other characters to make the farmers dogs lose track of Brer Rabbit. He told them that there was a barbecue so they would head off in the direction of the dogs that were trying to track Brer Rabbit down. The fact of the matter is there was no barbecue. Brer Bear scared the dogs away. The creatures however got hurt after their meeting with the dogs. They planned to hurt Brer Rabbit. Brer Polecat like Brer Rabbit ends up kicking Brer Bear and family out of his house by the smell of his breathe. Then Brer Rabbit went to the rainmaker and set up a race between Brer Rain and Brer Dust which ends up making all of the creatures who helped him with the race sick. In this next section Brer Rabbit tried to ride a buzzard and when he was finished with his ride he rode brother buzzard into the ground. When the creatures are looking for the gold mine Brer Wolf tries to trap Brer Rabbit by saying that he has found the gold. Brer Rabbit doesn't fall for Brer Wolfs trick. Brer Rabbit tries to make Brer Fox Ride a Horse and ends up with Brer Fox falling off the tail of the horse ripping his shirt. Brer Rabbit is a real trickster who gets his kicks from hurting the other animals. Like making telling the animals that the moon is in the pond and they try to help the moon escape the ice and end up in the cold ice water. Brer Rabbit tricks the lion into getting in the barrel and that makes him lose all of his wool.
